The porcelain figure's mark appears to be the following:

R. Bloch Porcelain of Paris
Paris, France
Dinnerware, porcelain
1939+ (1829-1963+)

That's taken from the Kovel's New Dictionary of Marks (1850 to the Present)

It's also possibly:

Kalk Porcelain Factory
Eisenberg, Thuringia Germany (E. Germany)
Porcelain
1904+ (1863-present)

I can't be sure because the pic of the mark isn't quite clear.

Or it's yet another variation on the hundreds of fake Meissen crossed-swords marks and the brown spot to the right is actually the glue that held on the Made in Japan paper label.

I don't know about your figurine, but once I bought a Home Interiors figurine at a garage sale...it had the crossed swords.

Hi all,

The marks look like arrows to me, not swords.

Stacy,

It would be a help if you would be able to do this on your own - especially after getting instruction right here:

Then type [*img]paste the address here[*/img] and take out the *s

So, all on your own, you could do this:

Here's something on the order of your figurine. Your sticker probably said Japan:

I thought maybe I would upload the Ruby Lane image from Cheryl's link but when I right clicked, it came up with "images copyrighted Ruby Lane"...HOW DID THEY DO THAT - seems to me that would be the answer to all the image pilfering that goes on around here!! Does anyone know how?

Aintrichyet is right. It's Arnart. I had quite a bit of it around the house from my grandmother.

Sorry I can't help with the plate.

Sorry neglus
that little trick ruby lane does won't stop the thieves
here is the pic below all you had to do was run your mouse over the picture a bar appeared and I had a choice to save (which I did right to my desk top) or i could have emailed it or printed and save to my pictures lots of choices of what I would like to do with the picture. As my mom used to say a locked door only keeps the honest people out a crook will always find a way in.

You might want to invest in a camera and some editing software.

Your pic of the mark is one big blurr and is beyond help

If you have a scanner, scanning the mark on the plate may make it clearer. Since it seems to be incised on a glazed white, it's difficult to photograph. I see the border, but cannot make out what's in the center. It doesn't matter anyway because according to one member I don't know anything at all so I wouldn't be much help.
