Ok, I know this may have been discussed before...my search link doesn't work anymore. I am in the market for a laptop that I can go wireless with. Any suggestions would be GRAND....I have researched this and am swimming in numbers.. I don't know what I need...anybody have an opinion? I will use it mainly for eBay, so, photo editing, Cable internet, etc... Thank you...

Toshiba, Dell, Gateway, Sony, HP, they all will go wireless with the right adapters... I would go with a name brand and get the warranty. Also remember that some Laptops are not upgradeable very easy.
It all comes down to how much you really want to spend.

Have you tried something like Consumer Reports? For a major purchase that seems like an excellent research source.

No, there really is not much difference.
If you can pick up a copy of PC Magazine Vol 22 #13 August 5, 2003 They give the best and worst of Notebook computers.
Consitently Apple, Toshiba, IBM were the top three with Dell and HP behind
Just depends on what you want.
If you have Mac at home, of course get an Apple...
