I am fairly clueless when it comes to glass as you all know. Is this hand blown? And, what would you call it? Amber glass? Also, it seems to be frosted at the top (about 1" ) and unevenly so. What could have caused this? I tried to get it off, but it seems to be in the glass. It's 10" tall. A bud vase? Thanks, everyone! It's much nicer in person, honestly it is.

Hi Cheryl,
I pretty sure you would describe that as amber. But I've just recently developed an interest in glass myself, so i wont be too much help to you. From what I understand, usually the blown glass will have some bubbles in it somewhere(I see one on yours down on the bottom.)
That is an odd shaped glass, and bigger than most bud vases I've looked at. (Hope somebody will show up and tell you exactly what it is. Max maybe?)

Ah, a stopper. Now that would make sense. The woman I got this from had remarked that her father-in-law was a drinker. In fact, she still has some liquer bottles (small ones) that he used to carry in his pocket. But, that would make this quite old (she's 80). Does anyone think this can be old? There is no mark.
