As of 14:49 eastern time, I am unable to acces ANY Ebay page whatsoever. All I get is a "Website not responding due to a busy or broken server." This is repeatable. Anyone else out there having the same experience? I'd check Ebay's announcement board but can't get to it.

As much as I would like to read about Meg's knicker (umm, NOT!) I can't read it 'cause it's on an Ebay page. etc., etc.... No access. Tried using IE on it's own and still the same.

Its still working fine in WA state

From Tom's link

From August 21 through September 4, we are testing simplified versions of our Home Page to better understand the needs of our users. A portion of non-registered visitors to the Home Page will see this test. Our objective is to see if a fast, simple, and educational focused Home Page would provide a better experience for new users. The normal Home Page is still available.
We are continually striving for ways to better understand the needs of our Community. If you have feedback regarding this page, please email us at [email protected]*. We appreciate your patience during this short experiment.

You think them messing with the home page would do an entire site outage? At least I mean in some areas?

Could be. Wouldn't be the first time a supposed improvement meant an outage. Pfah.

The PITA new possible front page has been there for weeks - it has nothing yo do with the outage. New page is ugly, not Safari compatible and sells NOTHING! I would run and run fast from that page.
