I had no trouble with PP WBN's until I extolled the virtues in an earlier thread and NOW they seem to be lagging behind the auction end by about THREE days!!!!!!!!!!! One of my regulars who won an auction on Tues night emailed me yesterday and said " I assume your address is still the same and will send payment today"..I emailed back and asked if she hadn't received the PP WBN and she emailed me this am to say it just arrived. What's up with that??? GRRRRRRRRRR Anyone else having problems? I wondered why I didn't have the same % of immediate PP pays after the auction!

I don't use the automatic WBNs anymore. They were always bringing up the rear. Some of my bidders claimed to not have received one at all. I send my own or if I'm feeling particularly lazy, I send an Ebay invoice.

I send my own too. The history of automatic WBNs is so bad it's hard to believe anyone would trust them enough to be a sole means of letting their bidders know they won and your info.

Yes neglus I see that. But I am having problems with my personal WBN also. I don't know if they get them and they don't read them because I am still getting ask the seller a question. After I registered with them they sent notices to auctions that ended about 2 days before. What a delima. Are you going to cancell yours or keep it going. I wonder what their problem is. Just when you think you are trying to do something inhance your selling techniques something happens. I really thought that would be the best one to use as I have never had problems with eBays EOA notices so I thought PayPal would be the same. There I go thinking again.
Darn if I would put my fingers on the home keys.

Libra - I sent PP an email and they answered instantly..said they were aware of the problem and were working on it..honestly I have never had trouble with the PP WBN's and usually have about 40%+ pay right after the auction ends...I am going to stay with the service and will just send eBay invoice to make sure buyers are notified in the interim. PayPal gave me a work around to self-generate the notices but I had trouble with that too...all in all I think they offer a good service for FREE. It's just bad luck that they have these problems when you finally decided to go with PP - they have the resources to get it fixed soon (and it's to their advantage since I'm sure they get more buyers using PP because of the notice) so I am optimistic.

For once auction bids has a informative post. Take those automated notices and outlaw them. They are one of the main reasons that online auctions have been getting a bad rap.

Well us sellers have to do something to get to the buyers. My email doesn't seem to go through and what then do you suggest. No I don't have AOL, Yahoo or any off brand ones. I have a very dependable ISP. I use my main email address for everything. I am not going to spend anymore money than I have to to complete an auction. I really think buyers are giving on line auctions a bum rap. I had a buyer do a BIN and haven't heard a thing from him and that was 3 days ago. I immediately sent him my personal WBN and now nothing. I am sure others have the same problem. So what do you suggest I do? I will continue to use the automated notices until buyers realize that we are people to.

I use Vendio's WBN's and they work great. The customer almost always has them within 5 minutes of the close of the auction. I think that Vendio's WBN's work much better if you are using mailstep.

neglus I had to report. I just received PayPal notice of the WBN to my buyer. It's getting closer. It has been 18 hours since he did a BIN. Well better than 3 days.
