How common is the name "Beulah?"

You know that other post I asked about shipping to a po box? Well this person's name even looks bogus. Am I wrong to be suspecious?

(I will wait for Kiara or somebody to start singing Be-Bop-a-Lula...lol)

Searched the web for beulah. Results 1 - 10 of about 640,000. Search took 0.16 seconds.

Yes 640,000 can be considered very uncommon if you are peddling Bradford Exchange plates

The odds are that the woman is over 40 but I'd imagine there are at least 10,000 Belauha's out there out of the 150 million American women.
My father was from Idaho and you can not imagine the unusual female names in my family tree.

I used to live across the street from a Beulah. She's probably in her 70s now. That's 1.

I have an Aunt Lulubell and an Aunt Idonna.

There was a popular civil war novel titled Beulah Land by Lonnie Coleman.

My grandmother's name was Gertrude and my best friend in high school was Prudence. The names are out there. It's funny, though, these names are becoming popular again. My 5-year old niece is Olivia. As a parent I'd stay away from the names Gertrude (Gert or Gertie) and Prudence (Prude or Prudie)

Lordy! I've known several Beulahs in my lifetime; but it's true it's an old fashioned name and it hasn't become the vogue again, as some old names have. Kind of a southern name, I think, more than northern.

I have known 3 Beulahs & lived in Beulahville NC in 1952-53 when with the 2nd Marines in Camp LeJeune, NC. You talk about Gertrude, Well, I had a great Aunt Gertrude & a great Aunt Ethel on my mothers side. I had aa Aunt Gertrude & an Aunt Ethel on my fathers side. AND my mothers name was Ethel Gertrude. Talk about a name in the family. It didn't go any further as I had no sisters, just a brother. lol

I have in my circle of friends, a Gertrude, a Claudette, a Chiara... I've known Violets and plenty of Roses, two Daisies- and I named my daughter Camille. I've met a Josephine, a Michealine, a SueBob, and a girl named Leo..... My own name is Shawn and I get a lot of sudden pauses whenI answer the phone as coldcallers realise that the Shawn they are speaking to is female- especially the guy with the Irish lilt that must have been right off the boat, heh heh.
I love names!

My 8th grade English teacher's name was Beulah. That was 37 years ago.
And the girl's phys ed coach in the movie "Porky's" was named Beulah.
And isn't there a Opera singer or soloist named Beulah?

I would not name a child of mine Beulah though.

If it is the same person you are identifying, they have a street address of, 403 Nicholson Ave which is right near N. Central very close to the Mississippi Sound.

No, I do not know her.

This was just my best guess at identifying your customer.

How did I do?

I thought you might go drop it on her back patio, and hope the cat does not get to it.

kiara

You must sing all over the house. Stay full of music! Good for the soul.

I love the name Camille. I wanted to name my daughter Camille Jeannine, but my husband wouldn't hear of it. She ended up as a Jennifer Delores (typical '80s name).
