I just aquired a Old Cloth Button maker.
Complete with press, dies and button blanks.
Was going to sell as a complete unit.
But when I went to get it I was amazed to find everything weighs about 70 or 80 pounds.
If I sold it, I don't think anyone would pay postage.
If I break it up I'm afraid I'll get stuck with a lot of it.
And pick up only would really limit the buying field.

I know nothing about the button makers, except that the older sewing stuff is highly collectable.
If you think the shipping would discourage buyers, do pieces. But, I think you might want to list the whole thing first and see what kind of interest you get? At least that way you have taken the shot at selling it all first. Thats my suggestion.

I would list as a complete unit. The last one I bought was high. Its like a transfer press for t-shirts...if you want one you'll pay the shipping or you'll have to drive and pick it up.I had mine shipped.

You could also advertise it in a tailors' trade magazine or on Kovel's site. Or sell it through a local auction house.
