First of all, I would like to thank all of you for helping me out with past concerns.
Needless to say I have another. After selling a very expensive item to a buyer in Norway, I went on the USPS web page to get shipping information to that country. I was very surprised to find out neither Global Express Mail or Air Mail Parcel Post to that country is insurable. The item is close to $500.00. I can't possibly send it without insurance. I am hoping the web page made an error, I will call them tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, any suggestions on what method to use to mail an insured package to Norway would be appreciated, just in case USPS for some odd reason really does not insure things going to Norway. Many thanks for any help you may offer.

Don't be quite so sure its a mistake. Global priority is not insurable ever. Don't ak me why... I find it irritating too! Air Mail parcal post is insurable, but only to certain countries. Definately talk to a live being, preerably one that knows their syuff but in the meantime, look into other methods of insuring your package.

if it is not a bulky and heavy item,look into fed exp intl or ups or dhl.
or go without insurance ,make sure you dont accept paypal or credit card .

Cant track USPS international either, I would SERIOUSLY consider Fed-Ex. I've lost international stuff through USPS before,
