Hello, don't quite know how to handle this.
Have some shoes up, listed as 8M (medium) instead of 8N, narrow. Went in and added a revision, explaining; but could not change the 'M' to an 'N' in the TITLE. There was a bid on it already. Am getting ready to email the bidder. Would it be better to close the auction and list anew,
or let it run?
thanks for any help...

If it were me, I would close the auction for a couple of reasons. Number one is that people DO NOT READ. They'll see the title, then you'll be in for trouble down the road because they didn't scroll down to see the update.
The other is that you may miss out on a few bidders who are searching by 8n.
Just write your bidder a nice, apologetic email with a link to the newly relisted auction.

If there's only one bid, email the bidder and tell them you are going to cancel their bid so you can correct a mistake. After yo revise, email them again and invite them to bid. This way you will be able to avoid double listing fees.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
