Does anyone happen to know of a simple address label printer that connects to a computer? Most of what I sell just needs a simple address stuck on it and gets dropped in the mailbox. I am looking for somthing I can paste an address into, click a button or 2 and put the address on the package.
Thanks for any input,
Rob

dcpent: Well, that's kind of a PITA if you just want to do one label at a time.
eagleedc: May I recommend the Dymo LabelWriters to you? No need to buy a new one if you don't want; people are still selling the LabelWriter EL 40, EL 60 and Turbo on eBay. These models have been discontinued. Mine are workhorses. I have three and have never had a mechanical failure. It just amazes me. I print in excess of 100 labels a day on them. You can use them with a PC or a Mac (may need a USB adapter).
Labels are a bit pricey at retail but cheaper on eBay
Apple uses (or did when I was there) these printers to generate visitor badges at their headquarters in Cupertino.

Heck, I use Microsoft Word. Made my own template & it works beautifully. I gues it depends on how many shipments you have everyday. I am small time compared to fluffy etc.

Sanmar I do the same with Microsoft word only I print them maybe 4 to a page. Cut them out and use two pieces of tape and it does the job. I think this way is cheaper than anything I have looked into....

I have been using MSword for a while now, cut and tape. My volume is coming up a bit now and I am tired of taking so much time to cut and tape every item.
Does the dymo use self adhesive labels?

Does the dymo use self adhesive labels?
Yes.
There are Seiko label printers that are similar, but be careful when you buy labels. Some labels are compatible with both Dymo and Seiko, but others aren't.

I use an Eltron LP-2642, I purchased from Ebay. You can get them cheap. Check out

I have used the Dymo 330 printer, but I like this one far better. The main difficulty with this one is finding all the drivers for it. It is not as easy of install as the Dymo 330.
I use it for my UPS and printing and they give me the labels for free.

Excell and word together make it so much easier. All you need to do is create an Excell file and have fields with all the info you need. Do a mail merge and you can print labels from that.
