Please pardon my question if it turns out to be silly. Still haven't had much coffee and it's kind of early out here on the westcoast.

Here goes ~ Just got this email from Paypal stating that "because our system indicates that, although you have ALI turned on, you do not select PayPal as a payment option through your Auction Management Software". I HAVE selected PayPal in my Vendio options.

Anyone having the same issue and if so, would you be so kind as to offer a solution?

Just got in Paypal site with no problems. Sounds like a probable broswer or computer problem if you're getting the Yahoo search page instead of Paypal.

I don't know if you're having the same problem but, I'm having trouble with with PayPal logo's (i.e. credit card logo's) showing in my auctions.

And I found the following anouncement from Vendio to be pretty hilarious.......

"We are happy to announce that PayPal recently notified us that VENDIO SELLERS WILL NOW EXPERIENCE NO DISRUPTION RELATED TO PAYPAL’S AUTOMATIC LOGO INSERTION (ALI) TRANSITION. NO action is immediately required!

We will have more details for you in the coming days, but based upon your feedback and our ongoing dialog with them, PayPal has modified their transition to prevent any seller disruption. We understand that the ALI program will still be discontinued in favor of a new PayPal preference setting at eBay, however, PayPal will alter their transition plan to ensure that your Vendio submitted listings will be posted without error.

We apologize for any confusion this PayPal transition may have created. We will follow up with additional information concerning this transition as we receive it along with recommended actions to ensure PayPal acceptance is displayed in your listings in your preferred manner. Again, no action is immediately required to prepare for this transition. Thank you".

They're back up already. It was all over another board I lurk at and someone called to find out..appears last night's maintenance went haywire. Looks like they got it fixed. I now return you to your previously scheduled thread..

Edited to add: Or not. Spoke too soon. I can get to the main page, but then get an error message after logging in to the effect of "Too much traffic, can't complete your request"

Phil,

After you log onto PayPal hit the "Auction Tools" tab, then seller options, then the "Automotic Logos" option and choose the "I prefer PayPal on eBay" option. Of course if you're as lucky as I am you will still receive a notification from PayPal that you HAVEN'T chosen it when indeed you HAVE. YIKES!

Still hoping that they will automatically make it all better....

Starting Sept. 26. they want this "I prefer
paypal option" checked. No problem, I checked it. It also appears that with the
automatic logo that I can't insert the
logo instantly by myself like in the past but have to wait until Paypal gets around to inserting the logo. Is that correct?
