I get this one today:

First of all I am VERY EXCITED about the earrings, but i would also like to check out other items you have listed. I know it's $1 extra per item so, how long is your combining period?
Also, when you ship item(s), please ship AS LIGHTLY AS POSSIBLE!!! An envelope with bubblewrap would be fine but NO BOXES PLEASE!!! And this is very important, DO NOT SEND THE INVOICE WITH THE TOTAL, you can email that to me. Just send the items. Thank you!!

Ok should I respond-Ok I will ship your items poorly for you. Also my additional shipping charge is $2.00, clearly stated in auction. And what is with the invoice thing? Its a full moon tonight-Anyone else get a full moon buyer today. I swear there is a correlation.

Junebug=======

I really do think something has been in the air, water or something.

I had a hobby seller email this week and get high and mighty. She said she really liked a pair of shoes I had listed but couldn't I just put them in a priority tyvek envelope and mail them instead of a box for $7.00. I explained that I am in business to make money not give it away. Yes I can put them in an envelope but they will still go over the 1 lb mark so it would cost me as much as $5.75 depending on zone. There is no way I can send them for $3.95. She emails back "I didn't realize you are on ebay for a living". I just sell gifts I don't want and things around the house. I stay away from people on ebay who sell for a living." I wanted to email back and say you would have to stay away from about 75% of the sellers then. I decided to blow her off and block her as a bidder.

I wish someone would give me my products to sell, but unfortunately I have to buy mine and make a mark up to make a buck. I had a rash of rude and not so bright questions this last week. A few of them I had to just step back for an hour or so before I even answered them.

You are not alone Junebug~~~~~~~~~!

Junebug,
I dont know what her problem is dictating the shipping terms to you. If this is a present for someone, I can understand her not wanting the invoice enclosed. Or maybe she doesnt want her partner to know she is buying "more" shoes or something?

I have flat postage rates and still get emails how much to zip xxxxxx ?
(People are just weird.)

I will make a bet she is from Canada. No invoice means no proof of the price of purchase and with no proof there would be no duty. Check to see where she lives. Check her feedback and see if she has done that to others it might give you a hint. If it was me I would ship according to my TOS and they have to abide by that. She reads your TOS, Bids, Wins abides by your TOS.

I think as long as you mark the package as commercial, then there will be duties regardless if there is an invoice or not. I'm in Canada and I've had items shipped to me where I've had to pay duties when there were no invoices.

She probably wants the customs form to say this is a "gift," but if the customs people open the package and find an invoice they'll know it's "merchandise." Hence her request for no invoice inside the package. I've had those requests now and then from foreign buyers.
