Hello,
I received an email from awconfirm.com and the title was: "Ebay Account violation." Is it for real? Here is what it said.

"Due to recent activity, including possible unauthorized logins on your
account, we have temporarily suspended activity on your account in
order to allow us to investigate this matter further. If you believe that this
action may have been taken in error, or, if you feel that your account
may have been tampered with, please follow the link at the bottom of
this message to update your registration information to the previous state.

After responding to the message, we ask that you allow at least 72
hours for the case to be investigated. Emailing us before that time will
result in delays. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may
cause you and we would like to thank you for your cooperation as we
review this matter."

"Restore registration Information"

This link then led to: http://www.international-mafia.info/ebay/dot_/com/_cgi/eBayIsapi/dll/eBay_com-Registration_Enter_Information.htm

I think that's similar to ones I've received before (I get at least 5 a week). It's fraud. To make sure you can just go to ebay (the website, don't follow the link) and see if you can log into your account. You can also forward the message and include the headers to [email protected]

Most definitly a fraud!

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I assumed it was. Clicked the link and then knew it was bad. Then closed it and went to ebay and my account was fine. So I deleted the email. This was the second one in a month.

I received one the other day and it said I was suspended. They tried to get me to enter my Signin name and password. Do not do it!!! Just forward email to [email protected] like I did and they inform me my account was ok. I have been suspended before for listing a Chanel scarf so it scared me.I have been a good girl since.
