I have an old cigarette case. Very heavy. Lots of intricate work inside and out. marked sterling silver on the inside with no MFG marks. Has springy thingys on the inside. I know it is atleast worth the price of silver per weight but is there anything else I should be looking for in this?

All you really need is a GOOD digital camera
and lots of close-up pics to sell your case.
The buyers searching under "Sterling" may email questions, but your photos will really do the "talking."
I do not provide a subjective "grade" on silver coins and jewelry...My four year old camera will pick up a fingerprint and miniscule markings one inch away.
I simply state "coin as shown in photo." Never a "dispute" when it comes to descriptions this way.
Sounds like you have a nice item.
Good luck!

Hello Japerton:
I bought a Sony Mavica FD73 after an exhaustive search on the eBay photography
discussion board. Its resolution and ultra-close focusing capabilities make it PERFECTLY suited for internet application. Needless to say, like any technological wonder, it has
been "ecipsed" by newer and more "advanced"
versions. The floppy disk storage is incredibly cheap and handy. I plan to obtain another 73 as a "spare." Just in case...
If you are looking for a dual purpose camera (snapshots AND internet use) go for a model with a 3 or better Megapixel rating.
While the little Mavica 73 shines on the computer screen, paper enlargements are not so hot.
