Look what I picked up! It is a picture of a little indian boy and girl in a frame. Even signed by Chris toffersey or tohhersey or something like that. Can't make out the signature. Dont know if it's worth anything or not. May sell it, maybe not. I might keep it. so darn cute!

There's no way I'd be able to part with those. They are great! The little girl looks so sad and the boy so impish. I wonder what he did? She kind of looks like my niece - same expression.

Hi all,

Paloma, those pictures are really cute!

The artist is Christoffersen.

I sold a similar set last year. Seems like I was able to get some info on Google but I don't think I bookmarked it.

Anyway, here are the pics I used in my auction.

Hope this helps.

Maybe I should post all my future listings here like some folks do,since I need all the exposure I can get.

If I really wanted to find out their value I would simply do a search on Ebay.

People tend to be basically lazy.

Those are darling paloma91
I'd try listing them

horsey, I asked a question on Noritake... I googled till I couldn't google any longer, looked on ebay, but without more pertinent info on the noritake, like a Pattern name, searching on ebay was fruitless, though its quite possible they are there, but do you know how many listing for Noritake there are?

I don't think I'm trying to get more exposure, just want information, that would be greatly appreciated, just like these nice folks here are trying to get.

Hi all,

Now that Paloma knows the name of the artist, I'm sure she will be able to research her items.

It's pretty hard to read the signature on the prints. Luckily mine still had the information sheet on the back.

I don't believe she's lazy, nor do I think she's trying to get exposure for her item. She came here with an implied question and I'm glad I was able to answer it.

Hey horsey, I havent listed it yet. Still thinking about keeping it. SOOO darn cute.

Lucy, mine has a thick cardboard and taped in the back. do I dare take it off to find out if these have the same info as yours do on the back? Hummmmm Decisions Decisions!!

I am sorry if people think I was trying to either get exposure or that I was lazy. HONESTLY, I was perplexed. There are plenty of items that I am able to research without help. I just came into alot of old stuff recently and have been researching like crazy. Spent more time researching than listing.

There are times when I have been able to help others with my knowledge, as limited as it is in alot of areas. When someone has a computer problem, I am always there.

Nearthesea, there are some very fine Noratake and Japanese artifacts experts here. Please feel free to list them. If you don't want to do that, you can always send a foto to replacements.com. They are very helpful too.

I know this sounds like I am babbling and I probably am but . . . .

Hi Paloma,

Sorry I'm so long replying to your post. (Busted my stooooopid kneecap Saturday and am just now back at my 'puter... But that's a whole 'nother story.)

Anyway, my prints were in the mat only. I don't think they had been framed at all. Can you lift up the plastic and peek underneath? With a flashlight you might be able to see the info sheet.

Or maybe you can remove or slit enough of the tape to see inside. Depends on what kind of tape it is. I use a hair dryer to heat tape when I need to get it off of a box. Might work.

Look what Horsey88 did. He went and made this thread very wide with that long URL.
I diagree with Horsey88 and the statement about coming in here to get more exposure.
If you notice there are not to many people that come in here and post. There might be
lookers but I will bet not many. It's
like looking in a dictionary for a word you can't spell. If you can't spell it how
can you look it up. duh.

Sorry about your kneecap omhslucy. I know that can be very painful. Get well soon....

I find having posters post their finds they know nothing about makes me more knowledgeable and I hope it continues...
especially that demi by ART.
That was a looker....
Thanks all.

edited to make it easier to read...

paloma91-they are darling,
and I am glad these folks could
help you with a name.

I've sent the pics to
replacements.com
and never have I thought that
anyone here was trying to get
'exposure' only help on items
they didn't or were not sure about.

I agree with everything Libra said!

Sorry about your knee ohmslucy

If we get blasted for asking for
help, whats the point of this
board?

and I'm writing like this (as
you did Libra) because
horsey had to put the long ass
link in!

I put a huge pic in the RT and
it made everything scroll, so
I edited it and took it out,

Well horsey88 with the statement people are basically lazy, maybe I fit into that catagory because I have worked 45 years with no layoffs, Call, x-ray tech., 35 years of that. I guess it's time I get basically lazy as I think I have a right to be. No I am not that old. I started young....and don't feel sorry for me because it is what I chose to do....

Back to basics. I have been around here a long time also and to tell you the truth I never search like that as I don't know how. I just do a basic search and if I don't find it I lose.. Thanks for the class in searching. Next time I will branch out.

OHMSLUCY, AUCTIONNACE, LOOK!!!! (waving a piece of cardboard in the air and jumping around madly) Look what I found! I opened up the back of the frame. I thought it was two greeting cards in a frame. Boy was I wrong! The blue matt material was taped to the back of it. I used a hairdryer to losen up the sticky stuff on the tape. Look what I found underneath!!! Oh Geez, Was I EVER SURPRISED!!
It's number 44 of a run of 50. I think that's what it means! Does that mean something good, great? Better than two greeting cards taped to the matt thingy? The lithogragh is TAPED to the matt cardboard. Should I try taking it off or should I leave it the way it is. Looks really c!%%%y in the back the way it is. Oh (jumping up and dow) I have never had anything this good. Or maybe it isnt that good. HUMMMM Anyone know for sure???? Below is what the back looks like minus the taped on material that I was able to free from only the back.

Paloma...I would get some detailed pictures of the fine print, especially the section at the bottom, and put the cardboard back exactly as you found it. Don't remove anything!! You don't have to post all the pictures in your auction, but you can mention in the description that they are available if a serious bidder needs them.
