I thought these dogs were Dachshunds, but the eyes don't look right, so I tried beagles, but I can't find one with that color coat. I am sure there are plenty of dog lovers out there, maybe Ralphie will recognize them!!

there are some nuts out there who would pretend it is a bloodhound and take them home.
bloodhounds are harder to come by.

Looks like a Bassett Hound to me too - color is not right but perhaps it's supposed to be more of a monochromatic glaze than true to life coloring.

couldn't resist posting my favorite postcard of a bassett even though i've posted it before:

They are not really bassetts either... more of an "Artisits Rendering" ... funniest thing is that it couldbe an artists rendering of either breed.

No self resspecting Blood hound fan would buy tht one stop - not enough leg or jowl on dem beasts

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I agree with fenix03, they are an artist rendering of a Bassett Hound.......

Legs are much too short to be Blood Hounds.... definitely BASSET HOUNDS!

Bloodhound??? Bloodhounds are tall dogs with long legs and long tail. Bassett hounds, as is what is pictured are low to the ground with short sturdy legs. Trust me, I've had both breeds and your items are Bassetts - not bloodhounds.
