I got this mug because 'David' looked familiar. Figured I would go home & hubby would tell me who he is. Well, no one knows him. Does anyone here have a clue who this guy is? The mug is fine bone china made in England dated 1990. The bottom says Artists by Mac Products. Thanks!

What does it say on the bottom of the mug? There has to be some clues to work with.

I said everything that is on the bottom of the mug..."Artists" by Mac Products - a paintbrush, 1990 and fine bone china made in England. It does say David on both sides of the mug. When I first picked it up I thought it was Elton John! : ) But that would be a musician.

It almost looks like Andy Worhol's art to me.

'I see said the blind man'.
I'd say it was a member of a 1990 British band like Wham! or similar.

I think it's a Warhol. Didn't he do something with the name David? I think I remember something like that. Didnt he have the name "MAC" for something?
Check this link out! I think I found a direction to go in.

It looks like an Andy Warhol style painting. I still say it's a guy named David in a British band from 1990.

Looks a little like Harry Potter with a bleach job.

It does have a sort of "Andy Warhol" look to it. I did a quick search on the links from paloma (thanks!) but will have to look again later once I get the kids off to schools.
I tried Wham! & Andy Warhol & got nothing...but I have a feeling this David is a musician....

Mac Cosmetics....calls the folks who use their make-up "Artists" because the cosmetics are usually applied with brushes they sell that look more like part of a painter's toolbox.
They have a team of artits who travel the globe hosting events.

Notice the transformation of David in the 2 shots.
Their products are used by many stars including Liza Minelli,Elton John and RU Paul.

Many of the MAC Artists products can be found on Ebay.

David is not currently on their Artists list so he either kicked the bucket or got fired.
People are basically lazy.

Pretty good detective work there horsey. Maybe David is just a generic dude from the 1990's.
