That auction reminds me of twenty years ago when my brother rented a Santa Claus suit for some cause to hand out presents to kids. After the function was over he headed to his favorite watering hole and walked in and loudly proclaimed " Now who wants to buy Santa a beer! ".
He had lots of free beer that night.
On another occasion he had to wear the Santa suit to a similar affair and on the way home he stopped at a liquor store and bought two 12 packs of beer and of course he wasn't given a bag and on the way to his car there were several kids looking at Santa with wonderment in their eyes and jaws dropped open. ( Santa's drinking problem exposed ).

That auction is about as stupid as the beanie baby one. He is just rubbing salt into the wound. Why doesn't he just give up as it is getting a little old.
