Hi!

I have seen it as well. It just appearing today.

I clicked on it, and all it is, is a new way to promote the "watch this auction" feature.

Once you click on it (try it), it will keep that particular auction on your calendar.

Same king, new clothes!

Tabletop: But what calendar are you talking about? Where? I don't have one - at least not yet. Does our "watch on ebay" have a calendar?

Libra, I don't see the calendar bit anywhere on the auction you sent me. I read it three times to be sure I wasn't missing it. Very weird.

Sounds like the testing stages for a future "enhancement".

Roadsmith I am sorry. It is gone from that auction. I guess once it is clicked and you save it to I don't know where, it leaves the page. Well just search around for auctions that started about 6 days ago. It just might reappear. It's been a loooong nite.

If you have MS Outlook for your e-mail application, it can automatically place a reminder there for you. Many larger corporations use Outlook (not Outlook Express) to handle their e-mail on each employee's desktop.

If you happen to use it, clicking the link will actually place the end-of-auction reminder on the application on your computer. It will alert you 2 hours before the auction is due to end.

It's an interesting enhancement, but I'm not sure it'll get much use from us.

I just saw it on the beanie auction that tsunamii alerted us to. It seems to come and go.

It was also on my auctions earlier, I had no idea what it was. Now, according to eBay I once again have no auctions at all, funny, I had over 60 a few hours ago!

Letter from auctionbytes today.
eBay Introduces Calendar Reminders
By Ina Steiner
AuctionBytes.com
November 05, 2003

eBay is rolling out "eBay Calendar Reminders" this week. The new feature allows members to add a reminder to their personal calendar program to alert them when a listing is about to end. Users do not need to be signed in to eBay to use this feature.

Once your reminder is set, you will be notified by your calendar program before the listing ends.

The "Add to Calendar" link is only shown on auction-style and auction-with-Buy It Now listings, and will not be displayed during the last 2 hours of a listing. While eBay introduces the feature to the site, members may sometimes see the "Add to Calendar" link on the Item page, and sometimes they will not.
