Any antique military furniture experts out there? The table/desk measures 36 inches square. The top is made of wood slats that are nailed to strips of old canvas. The whole thing can be rolled up. The base is also "fold-up" and has several metal strips that attach to the wood "legs". The set comes with two wooden folding chairs. There are no identifying marks except on the canvas strip which says "10 cents per yd". I've done some research but all the old stuff seems to be British with canvas chairs. Any help (age, "nationality", value) would be greatly appreciated.

It can't be US military if it says: 10 cents a yard.

US military would be at least $10,000.00 a yard!

I think this is a home mades table. Probably used for camping. If it were military, it would have some type of ID on it plus a serial number.

Beautiful table and chairs. But, I just don't think it is antique American military. Far too heavy for field movement. Nevertheless, handsome pieces.

When you list the table and chairs, I might bid on it if you'll include the cat.

Hey folks: I went to an estate sale once that had WWI stuff: heavy is an understatement.
Also, I trained under the son of a US cavalry officer: heavy old stuff in the back of the tack room and barn. yes, even mclellen saddles, old italian saddles and bits that were as heavy as a double bridle, that's two bits, folks.
Heavy. Horses pulling things, men and horses carrying stuff today we don't even use as packaging because it's too heavy.
Today's troops would weep if they hat to schlepp (excuse spelling) half of what they did back then. That table, whatever it's use is probably akin to titanium in bikes today!
