Okay, I know it's no big deal to those of you who have seen the purple star come and go but. . .I finally got mine. Since I'm not a full-time seller it took forever. My boyfriend joined in the laugh: "Holy crap! You gave them all that money and all they gave you was a purple star?" It is sort of funny when you think about it. That star did cost a lot of money!

But how much money did you MAKE?

500 FB ain't bad. Once you get to the red star, things start to slow wayyyy down. I don't think I'll EVER get to green ;(

Congratulations Cheryl!

Is the star based on the number of transactions or the number of feedback? (never really concerned myself with it much so Im not sure.

But I swear I've done at least 100 or so more trans than I've gotten feedback for!

The star is based on feed back.
If it was transactions I'd have gotten my red on by now!

The red star is next at 1,000 and then in 20 years you hit the next star ( green star ) .

The green star is at the 5,000 mark. It took me 5 years to get halfway mark to the green star. Okay 5 more years then but since only a small percentage of buyers leave feedbacks these days I might make it 10 more years.

Good work, Cheryl.

My biggest hurdle after getting my purple star was getting past that other number, the sign of the beast. I had to stay there for about four days and I was scared I'd have bad luck and get a neg.

Sure it is a big deal Cheryl You have made 500 people happy! So Congrats! is definitely in order.

I am with kiara "getting past that other number, the sign of the beast"
was a hurtle, I was on that number for a few days too and oh boy I couldn't wait to move off that number.

Something even freakier is when a purchaser has that number as there address I can't get their package out of here fast enough! That really gives me the "he-be jibbies"

Con grats!! I think it is unfair the way eBay counts feedback. I have almost 650, but only 447 count. I too am a part time selle, I only run 10 to 15 auctions per week. After 5 plus years I still haven't made the purple one.

Green does take a long time! After half.com closes, I am thinking of combining my two accounts. If you add them up, my unique feedback would be around 6000 positives.

I think Ebay should give us a discount on listing the month following our new star!

What do you think of that idea?
I may make that suggestion on Ebay!!
