What do you think about Vendio's new "Click-To-Call"? Do you think it will indeed increase our sales or don't you want your phone number available?

Increase sales? I seriously doubt it.

No way I'd EVER put my phone number in an auction.

JMHO - This is one of the nuttiest ideas I've ever come across.

Geeze...

Phone number in an auction? Whoever thought that up is certifiable.

Now, instead of getting last-minute emails begging me to cancel their bid, I'd get last-minute phone calls.

NOT a good idea.

Or crank calls instead of irrate emails from disgruntled buyers. A poorly conceived idea in my book.

They bought whatever on the WWW. and as far as I,,,,,,,am concerned if they can't TYPE, I have no Desire to listen to them in the middle of the night CALLING me. Just an easier way for them to be LAZIER. They, Vendio had better NEVER make this a default and it better be five steps to enter your phone number. I just looked at the announcement and the play it up to be SO NEAT! B.S. Problems,,,,,,that's one thing,,,just because,,,,that has NO place here. E mail!

There ARE,,,,,, times when the phone is the ONLY rational solution to a PROBLEM! but a daily simple, painless transaction has NO place here. E mail! That is what this was all about from day one! and it should NEVER be altered from. 3.5 years ago I had a few,,,,want me to call them for some simple e mail solution and I,,,,,,,,NEVER called them. E mail. Some include THEIR phone numbers to their replies to E.O.A. notices,,,,,NEVER would I EVER call them. For WHAT? WHY?

Some,,,,when there were UPS delivery problems after MANY days,,,,,,,O.k. time for the phone,,,otherwise,,,,,,NO WAY!!!!!!

I can't imagine ebay being too thrilled about one click off line sales that they have absolutely no control over. I think it would be a major PITA. It reminds me of the time that someone tried to sell me beer coaster advertising for my Karate Club. I just said to the guy, " Yes that is what I need. My phone number close at hand for any old drunk at 2.00AM. No thank you." I mean could you imagine it phone rings in the middle of the night and you answer to hear half a dozen drunks giggling to each other and then yelling "HaaaYaaa" down the line. On the other Dragonmum could have her muggles ringing up at all hours and asking if the wands are really magic. Just my 2c.
Regards,
Adrian

Edited for terrible spelling. Now it is just averagely bad.

I have enough problems with MCI and AT&T calling me with a NEW plan and I don't and won't use either one of them. I don't want anybody I don't know calling me.

Jack, my phone # is unlisted too. A service I pay for every month on the stupid bill. Why would I want strangers calling me? My contact # is my cell phone anyway.

I can't believe Ebay pays good money for some idiot to dream up fiascos such as this. The only people I want calling me is the state lottery commission looking for a delivery address.

I say that when Ebay gives all of us its phone number for tech support, complaints, etc., and makes it readily available, then we can make ours public as well.

It will Never Happen!
