I ship 25 to 50 items a week by USPS. My question is can buying on line postage and insurance make my job faster and less work? I ship from a small Post Office and don't have to wait in line.

I use it so that I don't have to leave the house in order to go to the Post Office. I put my packages our on my community mailbox and they take it from there.
Must be nice to have a PO where you don't have to wait in line!
sometimes I think the Canadians cough cough "snowbirds" use the post office as the ye olde general store. By that I mean they don't have anything else to do so they go to the post office to buy stamps and mail packages.

There is something to be said for 13 cent delivery confirmation on first class, and media mail, and free DC for priority mail.
Discount Insurance with U-Pic administered through Endicia is as easy as pie.
I also use a zebra printer for quick and easy labels.
Lots of people like the stealth feature, so people do not complain about the extra 25 cents you may charge for packaging material.

Thanks glassgrl and gousinc. gousainc if you are still around how does U-PIC handle claims? Do they satisfy the customer quickly on claims or is there a lot of hoops to jump through?
