For the last two days I haven't received any Paypal notifications when I receive a payment. I did a transfer of funds to my bank and I received that notification, but people keep emailing me that they have sent payment via Paypal and sure enough, it is there in my account. But, what happened to the notices I was receiving?

I won two auctions last night. Paid immediately by PayPal because it stated they preferred PayPal. Then I went and sent them an email that I had paid. Not a word from those sellers. Both auctions when off at 8:30 CST. I always when I bid and Pay by PayPal send another email confirming my payment. Should I expect an answer this quick? I know when my auctions go off and someone pays me I answer immediately. I guess it's all in the way sellers do business.

Libra,
Give them 24 hours.
I always contact my buyers soon after the auction ends!

Some sellers have other jobs and other commitments, but it is courtesy to respond.
I have made a few purchases from sellers and never heard one word..no thank you, no invoice, no nothing!!

That to me is poor business practice!

Libra - I don't confirm that I have received payment through PayPal unless the people say in their note "please let me know that you received this payment". I figure that they have received their receipt from PayPal and there is enough email flying at the end of a transaction I don't need to add to it. I confirm payment and send shipping notification at the time I ship.

Linda - I got PP notifications of payment on auctions that ended last night right when the people paid and some this am too...seems to be working at this end. (I haven't gone into PP to make sure though). "My Ebay" has the "paid" column that is pretty reliable if the people pay the "normal" way with the checkout button.

I got all my Paypal notices last night o.k. I usually let my customers know I have received payment and when it will be shipped.

Thanks. I will go into Paypal and check. My ISP changed our email address from .com to .net and I am going in circles trying to get them all straightened out with Vendio, Paypal, Ebay, all my email templates, etc.

Something must still be wrong at Paypal even though I do get the notices for bank transfer

I just checked my auctions and noticed I have received some new feedback. There were the sellers of the two auctions I won and they have left me feed back all ready. So now I know they received my payment and probably will ship today. That's the kind of service I like and that is the kind of service I give.
