I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this yet. Now when you do a general auction search there is a box on the left that contains eBay STORES that have the item you searched for.

It doesn't appear to be perfect yet, unfortunately. I searched for some items from MY store and they aren't showing up. Is there some trick like they have to be featured or something?

But it looks like a pretty major advancement for eBay store owners. Those cheap store listings just got more visibility!

RealPlay, that would be a plus to having a store. But it is kinda all the way down on the bottom. Took me some time to find out what you were talking about. Guess its good if people look there and bettern'nothing!

Are you sure the items coming up in the search are the store items or auctions conducted by store owners? I did a search of titles and descriptions for "moody mommy's" - contained in all my items both store and auction and the search showed 410 items (the number of auctions I have running)even on the left side "shop eBay stores" even though I have more items in the store.

Maybe in some categories "store" items are showing up, but not postcards I WISH!!

Items from the stores have shown up there for quite a long time. Originally this was for Store owners paying the $49.95 a month for a featured store instead of $9.99 for a basic store.

Now, I believe with the changes they made last week they opened this section up for everyone. I think the featured store will probably get the preferred placement above basic store owners.

I am not sure they have changed all of their literature to reflect the changes in what the featured store gets you, above basic store subscription.

This has been available for all store owners and not just the upgraded ones. I think to get listed, you have to have a similar item up for auction as well.

DO you mean the "shop eBay stores" section on the left?? Click on the store shown there - do you see FP items or real auctions? When I tested with me, my Store showed up but the only items showing were auction items.

Yup, better than nothing. Way at the bottom ( completed items are somewhat buried but not as bad ) and the stores search only shows the store. Ebay may be doing a balancing act with trying to keep store owners happy and auction-only sellers happy too. The number of stores items may one day approach the number of auction items but if only a few sores items sell then it is worthless. The last publish report of the store listings number that I've seen was six million but I bet that number is at least seven million by now.
