Has anyone else had this problem. Ebay announced all ID's that are also your email address need to be changed by January 1st or Ebay will assign a name.
I have tried for several weeks to change the name to my unique ID and have tried many variations. The software always comes up as "This name is already taken by someone else". I contacted Ebay and they said the name I had selected would be fine as it is my business name and it is not registered as an ID.
So the question I guess is anyone else not able to change their ID due to a software glitch? Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Have you done an ID search to make sure it is available.
And have you by any chance changed your ID in the last 30 days?

I just changed my i.d. 5 minutes ago with no problem. It took less than a minute. All my auctions were immediately updated with the new i.d. and I have the cute little icon that replaced the shades.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
