This is the guy I was complaining about last night. 411: His item has not arrived, it was shipping the end of October by air mail. I have told him I would replace his item or refund his money (item only not postage) but only after we find out what happened to his package.

This is the email I get from him.

I ask that you send me the
refund$$ CASH in a recorded envelope, or a
total $105 $$ MO or personal
check. It costs me $10 to clear such in a UK
bank account. I still feel
cheated (and I dont care HOW you take that)
as I have still lost
$37.00...assuming you send the refund.

If I did have the item, you would know for
heavens sake!! I have to sign for(Air mail does not get a signature)
it.....to suggest I HAVE the item is
insulting. I have been very, very
patient with you and like I said, all i have
is mails to say i will recieve
a refund.....NO REAL EVIDENCE SO FAR of this
being true.

I have already informed Ebay, and you will be
hearing from them soon no
doubt. I have filed an officail complaint,
and REQUIRE A F-U-L-L refund, not
a partial one....I dont care whtat it says in
your auction...I paid
INSURANCE FOR HEAVENS SAKE.....

I am also considering leaving you negative
feedback, you are free to leave
me also if you wish. To end this situation of
hostilaties, you NEED to
refund my amount in FULL. You will loose
nothing right? You will get YOUR
FULL amount back via insurance. You dont have
to MAKE $37.oo out of me on
that one!!!!!!!

*****************************************

After three years I have never dealt with this and I am probably getting worked up over nothing.

Anyway this guy has never once "read" what I had to say. I told him I would refund his money no problem or replace his item but he has to give the post office a chance to at least try to track it. I gave him the customs number and insurance number so he at least could call to find out but no.........

HE bought the insurance, not you. Let him deal with getting the insurance money. There's another thread dealing with the same thing. He has not waited a long time. I have a packaged shipped to BC, Canada three weeks ago that has still not arrived. It went air parcel post. I have a feeling they sent it parcel post instead of air which can take up to 6 weeks. This person should check with customs to see if it's held up there. Hopefully, you kept your paperwork so he can trace the package. I sent my customer a copy of the customs form and he was more than happy to track it on his own. Also, didn't they have a strike in the UK recently? If he threatens you, send the threat to eBay. As long as you kept your paperwork as proof of mailing, I wouldn't send him anything back. How can you hold yourself responsible for items that get lost in the mail?

Good Morning

I mailed two items in October, one to Germany and one to South Korea and both took five weeks to arrive! I will not be shipping overseas during the holidays to much trouble!
Good Luck!

You know whatever you do is not going to please him. Take the negative and forget about it. I do not guarantee anything that is shipped overseas. I do not insure their packages. They take my TOS or forget about it. I would if it was me pursue the insurance and if they pay then send the money but if they don't forget it. As a seller you don't need this frustration. As a foreign buyer he does. I didn't know you could insure foreign packages. New one on me. Good Luck

yes,you can insure packages going overseas unless it is usps global priority mail.
certain artworks and works of art have high customs duty in UK,it is not a bad idea if you suggest your UK bidder to check with their local customs office.
i know i shipped a piece of european porcelain to Uk,fee comes to 67 pounds on a 200 dollars figurine,67 pounds is like 100 dollars .
my advice to you is to go to the post office and learn about intl shipping, insurance and customs.

I gave the customer the customs form number and insurance receipt number. I told him to contact his office. I don't know if he did. My post office would not do anything about it until 30 days.

I am going to see a friend who works at the
post office to see if they could help me out.

He is new on Ebay and seems totally clueless with buying overseas.
