I'm trying to list a service.

The items I will service have too many variations to list them all seperate.

I figured an easy way to price service was fixed price, per piece, per item.

Any one who wants this service will have to purchase more than one!

All items have more than 1 piece per item, generally range from 24 to 100 pieces per item.

So I offered to service each piece @.15 so you could purchase how many pieces you wanted to have serviced on your item, depends on how many pieces your item has!

When I went to list Ebay says your fixed price needs to be higher if you are selling more than 1.

If I made each piece higher,( I don't know what their minimum is) no one would be interested because total item cost would be too high.

They're telling me I can't sell for whatever price I see fit,but I also can't find their min for fixed price.

I hope you can understand what I'm trying to get across here.
And if anyone knows a way to do this I could sure use some input!

Thanks!

Make believe I was to write you a program.
Since I don't know how long or short the program will end up.
I decide to charge you by the key stroke.
At a low cost per stroke it's a deal at a high price it's a rip off.
It appears Ebay wants me to charge a min of $1.00 per.
So if I wanted to do this program for you I'de have to charge through the nose just to satisfy Ebay.

I'm looking for a way to charge less.

You could list them in lots of 5 or 6. So instead of buying 50, they would just buy 10.

It complicated to come up with a set price because each item has different requirements.

You could have 2 items each with a different amount of pieces.

Can't charge the same for both.

Also can't list 100's of different auctions to cover them all, don't think I could if I tried!

Don't look like I'll be putting this service on Ebay, Too bad to it might have paid off.
Too bad Ebay has min's.

Thanks Again!

If you want this type of work, why don't you set up a web site? Then you can set your own terms w/o ebays regs.

sanmar:

I agree, however where else can I get the same exposure for the price?

I tried listing at a flat rate if all goes well I'll win some and loose some hopefully it will average out in the end!

We'll see!
Can't hurt to try!!

I see lots of auctions for services. You specify what the item will be. "Your own webstore" and it starts at $45.00 or something. What you do, as I keep on saying, is you shove all your information into your aboutme page and include at least one link per paragraph to it! Then you can include links on your aboutme page to your website, if you have one.
I am getting far more sales on my website, by the way, than from ebay, and very few of them come FROM ebay. It's a matter of getting links for your target audience, on the right other websites.
