With all your Christmas shopping on Ebay, make sure you scan and copy what you send in with your rebates. Out of the numerous rebate submissions sent in with my computer, 2 said the UPC symbol was not enclosed and 1 said the address was incorrect. I taped everything to a piece of paper and included return address labels on each. Fortunately I scanned everything so I have proof and with Endicia USPS delivery confirmation.

It is a good suggestion, because you have to wonder how many times they don't give the rebate or give an excuse like this because it is not in their best interest. What always amazes me is when I hear that large numbers of people never file for the rebate, like on a computer purchase. How can you NOT and get a quick $100 or even more?

I was waiting in line the other day at the post office and a patron at a window was getting a registered letter. He told the clerk that it was for a computer rebate and since he started using registered letters he has received every rebate.

The electronics chain called Fry's in the Western US has numerous rebate offers and it is a rare occurence to ever get the rebate check in the mail from them. I guess some people got fed up with the BS and found a way to actually get the rebate.

I got a great deal on a laptop at CompUSA in early September, and it came with a bunch of goodies that were free after rebate (there was a rebate on the computer as well). The checks are rolling in, and I've gotten every single one of them so far. I always copy my submissions, because there have been times in the past where they've come in very handy! I didn't want to take chances with these rebates, because they total almost $600.00!!! I also got 6 months with no payments and no interest by purchasing on their store credit card, so I'm totally satisfied with it. If there's a rebate on a product, that's the first thing I do when I come home from the store. I don't understand how people can procrastinate and lose out on their money. I guess I need it too much to risk that!
