Computer Shops ! OMG I hit the Jackpot today...there was an ad on our local internet server. It reads
"We have dozens of boxes & bags full of packing peanuts. Come get as little or as much as you want."
I went and got 8 - 25 gal. trash bags full of clean packing peanuts for free !! She said that all computer shops get a ton of packing peanuts everyday and just throw them away (she doesn't cause she is a environmental freak) yeah ! I'm so glad she is lol ....So friendly too...come back anytime for more. She said they got so many they supplied our local Mail Box etc. plus what she gave me . Now thats alot of packing peanuts ! Never hurts to call your local computer shops and see if they will save them for you.

Thank goodness we don't all live in the same town!

And thanks for the "heads up"!

Don't forget your local furniture store for free bubble wrap! If you're a girl, they'll even load it for you - or they do for us here locally!

I mentioned it to my girlfriend and she went and got some. Small bubble(s) wrap - VERY large pieces of it, but hey - it's FREE!

I LOVE Endicia! You will too – Click here!

I have friends that run an Antique Mall. They get shipments in all of the time filled with peanuts. I haven't got room for all of them. God I hate to refuse'em, but I live in a Mobil Home with a small storage shed. I have bags & boxes full of them.

I'm the one glassgrl sent to the furniture store. They sent one of their loading dock guys out to my car and he just kept bringing me bubble wrap til I cried UNCLE. Geez they overloaded my little Camry til I had the stuff hanging out of the windows and the trunk. When I got home I figured out how to roll it into bundles and I absolute love the stuff now. Furniture stores have these 8 ft long sofa bags made of small bubble wrap. I laid them out, folded them in half and then rolled them. they store great. When I pack, I just take my razor out to the garage and cut off what I need.

Now I'm looking for a steady source of wrapping foam for my dishes. Glassgrl keeps TJMax's dumpster empty and I can't find any....

I have several free sources for styro peanuts.
The local Antique mall, friends who sell Bath and Body Works products at home parties and I post notes at work and fellow employees bring them in by the bag for me. A friend who sells
Mary Kay cosmetics brings me boxes, bubble wrap and smaller amts of peanuts. Ask your nieghbors, businesses you frequent, etc. You'd be surprised of what you can find.

ltray - and anyone else who's interested

If you have a piece of foam wrap - take a small piece to your local furniture store and ask them to save it for you. When I went in to mine and said foam wrap - they didn't know what I was talking about - but then I took a small sample and now I have as much foam wrap as I need. (they load for me too).

If you have a Target in your area they have tons of that foam wrap...I grabbed a huge box of it last week when I was helping my Aunt out...I've never really used it before now lol but it was free and it looked like a good wrap for glass things ....and the ebayer in me came out ....they usually grab a cart and put there empty boxes and foam wrap in while their working and don't mind one bit if you help yourself to there trash (less work for them later is what one girl said lol)
