Hi, all. I'm attempting to remove the gallery picture for two of my auctions. I thought I did the right thing by going into "revise" and manually deleting the picture in the gallery window. I could not UNcheck the Gallery Option. The pictures are still in gallery. Am I being too impatient? And will they eventually be deleted? Any experience with this?

I've never tried to delete a gallery picture before. Don't know if it's possible because the gallery doesn't link to your image host. The gallery picture is stored on Ebay's servers. I've changed gallery pictures before by going to the site map and finding the link to "fix my gallery picture" or something similar. I can't recall if there was an option to delete the picture or not. I do remember it took at least an hour for the new pic to show up after I corrected it, usually during their next update. If you're sure you did everything correct in deleting it, I'd give it a while to disappear. If that doesn't work, you could always upload a .jpg of a white wall or something and substitute it as your gallery pic through the fix proceedure.

Thanks, sparkz. I've even gone into my "manage images" and deleted the pictures there, but they're still in the auctions. I'll give it an hour or so and hope for the best.

I don't think deleting the pic on Vendio will do it since the gallery picture was transferred to Ebay's server when you set up the auction and it resides permanently over there. That's why the gallery picture still shows on completed auctions after you delete the auction pictures from your image host. You will have to get rid of the pic on Ebay's server and I imagine the only way to do that would be through their "fix gallery picture" link.

I tried to delete a gallery photo on an auction that was "sell a similar item" so I duped all the options...and that included the Gallery!
I checked the auction and when I tried to delete it I could not, mainly because I had already paid for the feature, it was greyed out and I could not change it.
It was one of those Items I did not actually need gallery...I hope that helps.

But those "Penny Gallery Days" are a real deal, aren't they?

You can do it only as you are relisting your item. If you already started your auction, it is there forever.
