I am considering using Ebud for aftersale management.
Anyone use them?
If so, is there a way for them to pick up shipping charges or is it all done manually?
I see where I had to check on add default shipping to get the correct total for my unpaid items now, but how do you manage that if you sell things with multiple shipping fees? Does it really not pick those up from Ebay?
I think it will work great but I am making a mad rush to figure it all out before the listings end this week

Hi lindajean,
I'm not sure if the program picks up the S&H automatically. I think you have to enter it in the Poster and Ebud will then pick it up. If you use another service or program I think you have to enter it in manually.
I used ebud a long time ago before the previous owner sold it to Auctiva. Ebud was great and well worth the money back then. I personally would not use Ebud or anything related to Auctiva now. Their customer service is horrible! Check out the message boards and see if their services are worth using or if you can handle their support services.
The previous owner has a new program called AuctionSage, it is similar to Ebud and he is very good about keeping up with the Ebay changes. I tried it when Shooting Star removed the listing part of their program. I don't list as many auctions as you do, so I couldn't justify spending the extra money on another program at the time. Here is the link:

Thanks!
I did post the same question on the OTWA board and Auctiva Jeff answered right away. He said adding the shipping automatically from Ebay checkout info would be in the update next week. He seemed very helpful and said that would probably help a lot of people who use other listings services.
I tried Auctionsage, but it won't print multiple invoices and everything has to be handled one at a time.
Ebud will let me select multiples and go with that so I think I will give them a shot. At least he seemed to be helpful and they do keep an eye on the other message boards
I cancelled Ebays selling manager so there is half the Ebud cost Now, when I copy my existing ads over from CA into Vendio I can cancel them and that is $29.95 a month. Talk about BAD customer service! If you request anything from CA that they aren't doing or do not intend to do you will get no answer at all! I asked them if they would ever have a offline listing tool (you know..EVER, not now) and got ignored. someone else asked if the site would ever speed back up to normal...and they got ignored. I can't wait to drop them!
That's too bad too because I love their invoicing system and inventory tracking. But, it takes all I can do to make 25 ads a day on them. I can make that many an hour using Vendio so guess which one I'm keeping? (even at double the fee and having to pick up another service for aftersale management).
You would think Ca could at least tell you to forget it, it ain't gonna happen, or something rather than just ignoring anything they don't like

Good, I hope Ebud works out for you! I forgot about AuctionSage only doing one auction at a time.
I tried Ebay's SMPro and loved the multiple tasks you could do with it, but $15.99 a month for something with alot of bugs was too much for me, so I cancelled it. So now I am using multiple services and programs to manage my auctions. It is less than $15.99 a month, so we'll see how it goes, unless something new comes out and I have to try it!. Sometimes I think I make things too difficult for myself.

I don't really consider myself a slow learner, but I never ever was able to figure out all the things Ebays SA PRo did that I didn't need anyway, and how to make it do what I did need.
I like something very easy and simple. Vendio fits that bill for listing And, CA used to fit it for everything but not anylonger so I am back to searching

I was one of the first users of Ebud as an evalautor. Since Auctiva took it over it has been shaky at best. They started double billing me about 5 months ago for program upgrades they unilaterally assumed I needed. They have a dispute resolution link where if you lodge a dispute then they keep closing out the dispute and the next month the two bills arrive again. They can bill me until the cows come home. They will get sheet on a stick from this cookie for their gouging tactics. AOL has been doing the same thing successfully for years I guess that's why they are trying it.

Lindajean,
Have you looked at Shooting Star or eBay's Selling manager? Shooting Star is perhaps the best out there. You do have to manually enter your shipping amount though. I have also recently been using eBay's Selling Manager and it works quite well.

Actually, I have downloaded the trial programs for Sold, Ebud, and Shooting Star.
I requested information on the shipping amount being pulled from Ebay and received the reply on the OTWA board from one of the Ebud monitors. He said it would be in a update planned for next week.
I was pleasantly surprised to see it actually made available tonight! Now, that is the first time any site has done anything I have actually needed done as far as improvements go since the days of freebies. I was so impressed I will probably give them a fair trial. I know they must have already had the fix in the works, but still, to move it out before the FLD end of auctions made me think they might be better than some who haven't used them lately know.
Of course, you don't know anything about anything unless someone has experience with them or unless you try it so I will keep everyone posted on how it progresses. I do feel very hopeful though.
Some of the other sites seem a bit more difficult to manuever through and minipulate data on so I do like what I see so far. I am a bit surprised no one else from this board is using them though and that makes me more than a little cautious.
Edited to add that I am giving Ebay a real shot at making some real money starting in January. My daughter is getting married in August and I need to make some dollars fast! I think I can do it but will have to list 100 items a day and it is going to take some awesome software to keep up with that. I know there are bigger sellers out there but they probably have their own programs as I haven't seen any of them recommend anything like what I have been looking for. So, I am trying to get it all lined up to kick off the new year and see how it goes.

How did ebud work for you? I manually sent out the eBay invoices...luckily I sold many items on FP throughout the week so it wasn't tooooooooooooo bad (not great but not horrible).
Still wish Vendio would come up with WBN without checkout!
Vendio worked great with the mass shipping notifications and feedback given on the 100+ items I shipped today.
