Hi!
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this question, I'm sure it will be pulled if it's too far off topic!

I was looking for alternatives to the daily trudge to the USPS counter... does anyone have a favorite online postage service I could check out?

I mostly ship small (#00 5"x10" ) padded envelopes, with a printed shipping label/invoice from QuickBooks, folded to fit in a 4x5 inch "Invoice Enclosed" type envelope attached to the padded mailer... so it doesn't leave much room on the mailer for postage! I tried a postage service before (I can't remember the name), but never could get their "format" to fit on the envelopes!

Any help is greatly appreciated!
TIA,
Steve

I LOVE ENDICIA.COM, especially their STEALTH feature &, now in beta, their seemless integration with U-PIC.

DAZZLE, their powerful mailing software, is a bit intimidating at first, as it is designed to do a great many things for the largest number of printers -- however, the live CS at ENDICIA will walk ye through the set-up so you should never end up with mis-printed postage!

If ye join here:

endicia.

the tech support is unbelivable. they spent almost an hour with me on the phone to set up my printer with the format I wanted. I wasn't using laser labels then, but I wanted to print on the paper in such a way that I could reuse the piece of paper.

they never once lost their patience with me, I couldn't believe they paid them enough to help someone like ME!

This topic comes up on this board a lot.

I use Endicia, and it has been my observation that Endicia is the service of choice, at least in this group. Not by all, but by the majority of posters.

Stamps.com is my choice. I like their simple, easy, and fast system better then ENDICIA.COM. Under ten minutes and I was printing postage.

I also use stamps.com. That is what we use at work and so that is what I know. I set up a seperate account for my ebay items of course.

They also have stealth postage and insurance.

Thank you EVERYONE!
I apologize for the common question (Vendio... a search feature would be great in the forums!! )
But I really appreciate all the help, and the lack of "I had to learn the hard way... go figure it out for yourself" attitude is really wonderful!
I'll let you know which I try (or both!) and how it goes for anyone else looking for online postage support!
Thanks again!

search

although this is really weird! This isn't the page I had saved - the search feature is still at the bottom left hand part of the page, in order to search past AW/Vendio forums.

Of course it doesn't help that I'm watching this creepy HBO movie..........

Try Endicia. Feel free to for go Ralphie's jacket and use my link to sign up. I used Ralphie's link to enroll so I've already bought Ralphie a bone or two.....

I'll keep looking for the link, I know I had it..........

From my Endicia help page:

"The minimum label size that will fit a postage insignia is 3" high by 3 1/2" wide."

Does that help?

I'm not sure if that includes the bar code if you're shipping with delivery confirmation. I couldn't tell from your post if you were or not.

Honest...Endicia rocks.

search on stamps.com

or for more information on endicia, put harry whitehouse in the search box.

Thanks glassgrl!
I hope you made it through the night!
And I wasn't doing DC but would like to...
and the minimum size does help. I might be able to squeeze that in there, or atleast it sounds like the Support is terrific and might be able to steer me in the right direction!

Thanks again to all!

Why are you using an extra evelope for the invoice. Simply stick it the package. I don't know what the weight is per pkg, bu for free you can use USPS which will print the labe & include the postage. All you have to is put up a valid credit card. I have just started using it it is ghreat for me.

Get a scale and buy stamps. Thats my fav.

No monthly fees! Order stamps online at www.usps.com

It works for me. I mostly ship first class, and my packages are 2 or 3oz each. Nice thing bout my 60¢ stamps is the 60 doesnt stick out. So when I charge 4.95 for shipping I get no complaints.

my 2¢,

-Rob

All these fri**ing fee's are eating me up!
I cant do it anymore with trying to premium everything. Not maken no monies!

Careful, Rob, I get slammed every time I suggest the easiest and most cost-effective method is to just buy stamps.

No waiting in line...I buy 10 rolls of 37 cent stamps at a time so I can refill whenever the crowd is the lightest.
