I sell under four id's to keep my auctions compartmentalized. (Its just easier for me that way.) Lately, I've been getting a number of emails from other sellers complaining about my prices, either too high or too low, or the product I'm offering. This has happened with 3 of my 4 selling ids.
I figure if I'm priced too high, that's good for the competiton. The buyer is free to compare within eBay and in the retail market. My item descriptions are accurate and not misrepresented in any way. Everything is stated clearly for the buyer (hopefully) to read before bidding. I have good customer satisfaction with approx 30% of my sales being repeat buyers.
Is it getting that bad out there? I'll be the first to admit this has been a strange last half of the year for Me and sales. The fall months boomed with bids. The winter months had bids coming in trickles. I don't understand the purpose of these mails from other sellers?
Thank you, basically I was getting this irritation off my chest.

You didn't tell us if the seller's that email you sell the same product. If they don't like your prices I personally don't think it is any of their business. You set the price for what you want to sell your items for not someone else. If your satisfied with the profit then forget them.

I just can't imagine another seller telling you your prices are too low...or too high for that matter. I've never had anyone tell me my prices were high, low or otherwise. Kinda makes you want to write back and tell them that you'll set your prices the way you want and they can set their prices any way they want. Go figure...

It is very puzzling to me also. One of the seller sells the same items, the other seller items are somewhat similar. I have ignored the mails. I am biting my tongue and twisting up my fingers so as not to reply back. They have all come within the past two weeks. Its strange.

I'd be tempted to ask them to let you have a look at their auctions to get an idea of where prices should be! That should shut them up.
I'd also ask if they'd tell you exactly what prices they think you should be listing at. Specifically. Every single auction. That'll keep them busy and off the streets.
