my son collects fishing lures...he has me busy lately searching ebay and bidding and buying for him.

on my most recent search i found a lot that may be interesting, but i can't see them clearly.

the seller, under 400 feedback so fairly new, has the description running across the large picture. I am thinking he did this so no one could steal his picture, who would steal a picture of a group of items. in doing this I think he has shot himself in the foot, big time.

i am sure i could email the seller to send me the clean picture, but why bother? there are too many listings to choose from without going to the extra trouble.

stopwhining, maybe i posted here because many sellers read here and this is another item, along with bad pictures and nasty TOS, that sends bidders running.

isn't that what this board is for? to help all of us learn what works and what doesn't?

i know i don't post often but when i have something to say, i believe i have the right to say it here.

Rarriffle Your post was a good one. A lesson to be learned in how to discourage bidders.

Pay no mind to you know who.

Could you post the auction # so we can see another example of bad photos? It often amazes me how some sellers get bids then the pictures suck and the description is 5 words long....

To my amazement I sold a listing that was actually an accidental launch of my dummy auction that I use to pattern my listings. No picture, no specifics..just said it was a postcard from Norway in very good condition..LOL!OOOOOOOOOOOPS! Not a single "question for seller" either!

Holy cow, Neglus! You take the prize. LOL! I've often thought I could just post an auction that says Gimme Your Money, and it would flow in.

Roadsmith you could be right. in the classified section of the tabloids you see an ad "make a million $$, only $3.00 shipping". all you get is a letter telling you how to place an ad like theirs. LOL!

no, I did not send $3.00, they told about it on our local news.
