I have two newbies-0 feedback, currently bidding on a sterling silver pendant..It has gone from a one dollar start to $66.00. How many think that I am not going to get paid on this one?..Although it is a nice pendant I wouldn't pay 66 bucks for it..I'm doubtful..So guess I'll get stuck with a load of fees

I did not mean to place a max bid of $150.00 on item
# . This is the first time I have been on eBay
I meant to place a max bid of $1.50. Can you help me fix this as I cannot afford to pay this bill? Can you email me with any solutions you may have?

Oh..I dunno!!! I have had newbie's bid on my auctions...high prices too (over $257.00) and pay me instantly with PayPal. I think it is a good possibility that they will follow through on your auction. And the bid price only depends on how badly the bidder wants your item! It will be interesting to hear how this one turns out. Be sure to post an update!

I've had a lot of newbies lately too. One great thing is they don't know how to bid and run the price up. So far all I've had to do this end up paying. I was selling an old collectible tin toy still in the box for someone and two newbies started fighting over it. It ended at $100. The guy I sold it for said something is wrong and we will never get our money. Four days after the auction ended I got a money order in the mail. I gave the newbie his first fb.

I'd be willing to bet you get your money. Odds are good that you will get paid.

Junebug if it was me I would help her cancel her bid. As you can see she is new and probably in haste didn't put the decimel point in. Her bid I would cancell or explain to her how to cancell her bid.

I'd tell him to retract his bid if he wants to, you won't.
And if he don't and doesn't pay Ebay will email him with a solution!

I agree with Libra63, help her cancel the bid so she can rebid with the correct amount. I have had bidders do that to me also....they are always so grateful for the help and they have always rebid on the auction. Good luck!

Have a little patience with newbies. It will pay off in the end. Just had 3 auctions sold to bidders with under 5 +fdbcks. All paid with P/P ovbernight!!

Oh I do have usually have patience-Just hit 901 feedback rating so I have been doing this awhile-It just seems that on my items any new bidders have been turning into non paying bidders-Anyway the second buyer in line took the pendant for $15.00-good profit for me so I'm happy with that

You are best off cancelling the bid. Even if this person doesn't re-bid afterwards, you will have a reasonable shot at selling it. You already know this person isn't going to pay $66.00 for it, so you might as well bring it back to a level that they might pay.
