I had an auction end three weeks ago and the winning bidder never paid, or responded to my repeated emails. I filed a NPB and have since re-listed the item (the auction ends on Sunday). Just now I received an email from the original deadbeat stating the usual excuses (she had a doctors appointment and forgot all about the auction, blah, blah blah). She then says that she'll Paypal me the money by tomorrow and aplogized for any trouble she has caused me.

So.....what would you do? Respond to her and tell her to forget it since the item has been re-listed? Go ahead and complete the original transaction and cancel the current auction if she does indeed pay? Some other option?

I would tell her its been too late, you filed an NPB (did you recieve your FVF's?)
and that you've relisted it. 3 weeks is a bit long to get a PayPal payment. And you could cancel the payment if she goes ahead and makes it. But all this, you *may* be looking at a neg.

Tough call, if you know for sure its going to sell again at that price or more, leave it on auction. But, if it was a good price you got from her, she is willing to PayPal, then cancel auction and sell it to the original deadbeat.. I don't know, you could go either way on this.

I just wonder about the FVF's you got, since you said you did file a NPB on her. You can reverse that, I believe.

Good luck... I hate situations like this.

NTS - yeah, you hit on one of my dilemas, the price. Her original winning bid was a good price (much better than I expected) and it doesn't look like it will fetch the same price this go-around. And you;re right, I forgot about the FVF issue. Its starting to look like the easiest thing to do is to just move on with the current auction and return any money she sends me. I'm not concerned about geting a neg from her.

Personally I would tell her no and keep the current auction going. I got tired of waiting 30 days for payments. If they don't pay in 10 days it gets relisted and they get NPB mark.

Does it have any bids at this time?
If it does tell her tough, put her on your BBL and forget about her.
If it doesn't tell her you will put a BIN on it and if she wants it she can BIN.
Make sure the BIN covers all the past expenses accrued from her.
If she BIN and pays you can reverse the NPB.
