I know, I know....

I picked this piece up at an estate sale, because I found the colors somewhat fascinating and jarring. It measures 14 inches from handle to handle.

I looked through my mark books, and I couldn't find it...it looks like a stylized anchor to me, but I may just be looking at it cross-eyed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I don't even know what to search for!

Again, thanks!!

Edited to say, I clearly have no idea how to post photos here, and I am also intellectually incapable of discovering a way to search previous posts to determine what I've done wrong. Fudge!

Max, thanks for that! I feel a complete idiot when it comes to such things.

Most gratefully,

Skorpio...by the way, how DID you do that?

I'd rather not say what I think it is just yet.

Is that damage in the middle of the plate? Is the clay very white where the glaze is missing?

Is the plate heavy for its size?

Fluffy,

It is heavy, I guess.

No, there is no damage, just some very interesting 'swirling' to the glaze colors.

I must admit, I am curious as to your opinion (although I do cringe a tad at the same time!)

As to the bottom, where there is no glaze, it is a cream color.

Thanks!
