Has anyone used the new format for sending messages to a buyer/seller? Really works great.

what/where is that? ... and how is it different than just finding their email addr. to correspond?

I haven't sent any messages, but I received one.

(If you go to a completed auction page, there's a link to contact buyer - i suppose, if you're the buyer there's one to contact the seller).

I noticed there was a boilerplate warning telling bidder's not to pay with instant cash transfer services such as MoneyGram or Western Union. I have quite a few bidders use Western Union Auction payments. I hope this message doesn't discourage people from using that service.

It starts message to seller...Then they state what they want and them over on the right side of the page is the folloring:

Never respond to an unsolicited email that includes incentives to buy or sell an item off the eBay Marketplace. If you get such an email, please report it to eBay.

Never pay for your item with an instant cash transfer service such as MoneyGram or Western Union. These services are like sending cash to a stranger - they are an extremely unsafe way to pay.

I think I did it this time....

When you click on a bidders name, it brings up a box to write a message & has your id name at the bottom. Really neat.

Sounds like eBay wants to drive all buyers to PP.

So long as the stranger is me, I see absolutely nothing wrong with using either of those two fine services...

Max: what the Helx does a message box have to do with payment??? What I listed has nothing to do with payment.

Sanmar,
I was referring to Libra's message. Maybe I'm confused, but I understood that the message in my previous post came from eBay. What am I missing?
