the photos look fine to me - which one is supposed to be blurry?

I just checked your auction. None of your pictures are blurry. They look great.

One thing, though--

One of your pictures shows a very different color then the others. While the others show an aqua colored garment, the fifth one down shows as light green.

Edited to say: the 10th picture also shows as light green

I don't think any of the pictures are really blurry. I downloaded the first picture and enlarged it in Photoshop to look at the detail. At higher magnification it has a very slight bit of camera movement that the other do not but it look good and seems more than sufficiently sharp to me.

The color shift in the pictures made without flash would bother me more. You do mention that they are not the right color but I would not be surprised if you get email asking if it is two colors. They could be corrected in any graphics editing program by adding some blue to the color balance.

Is the person with blurry pictures using AOL or a ISP that allows the user to reduce the quality of pictures for faster loading?

Hi - just wanted to jump in and say this could be due to AOL browser 'compress graphics' setting under WWW preferences. Uncheck that option, and refresh - your pictures may clear.

Hope this helps...

Wow hi Diana! ... NICE of you to pop in here! ... yes, I noticed from her email addr. on her "me" page she was aol ... I InstantMessaged her about an hour ago and guided her through the same thing, to 'Never Compress Graphics" in the AOL internet settings ... it seems to be working for her ... thanks for your concurring with me.

Hi all,

Another observation about AOL 9.0. The compress graphics options in the internet settings are different than in the earlier versions.

There is a selection which is: Compress graphics only when I do not have a broadband connection to AOL.

I have cable for my connection. On the sign-in screen there are two options presented. One is ISP/LAN connection, the second is Broadband (Cable/DSL/ISP) The ISP/LAN one shows first then switches to the Broadband one.

A while back all my auction pictures were blurry. After a whole lot of editing to fix them, I discovered I'd signed on when the first option was in the field. The option for graphics compression was set to compress if I wasn't on broadband.

There's also an option to never compress graphics. I have this one selected not, just in case I'm too quick on the trigger finger when I'm signing on.

Hope this helps.

Lucy

Hi AintRichYet,

I changed it to never compress graphics when I discovered the two options on the sign in screen.

I must have clicked to sign on before it changed to the broadband one.

Duhhh...... Took me probably 1/2 hour to change all those pics. Shoulda checked AOL before I did that. Oh well...

p.s. ... i was telling PhotoLuckYLucy how MUCH I love the aol 9.0's photo editing program .... under File, Open Picture Finder [find your folder that holds your ebay jpg's], then open that up ... minorly wonderful is their cropping feature, to "custom" crop the photo, but number UNO feature is the "Auto Enhance" button ... whoa, fixes nearly ALL of the brightness/sharpness/clarity of all our photos in one click ... kewl stuff
