I have a couple of people that buy off me all the time but never leave feedback. No problem because I've never left any for them. I checked to see what feedback they've left for others and one person has over 3000 feedbacks and has left 60. The other has over 200 and hasn't left any feedback for anyone - ever. Now, I make it a habit to check what feedback people leave for others before I leave them any. Do you?

We have been known to check the feedback buyers have left, mainly to get their mindset.

However, this is not a frequent activity.

We do not check to see what feedbacks they leave, in relation to what we leave them.

We reciprocate feedbacks left for us, so as long as they place a positive feedback, their feedback is reciprocated. To many feedbacks to be very personal. 228 left for us last month.

It comes down to how you want to spend your time, and what you feel is important to further your business plan.

Kraft, I've had some buyers not leave FB. Why the dont is known only to them. Never thought about checking to see what they leave, but it is an interesting curosity.

You feel like they are holding back on you?

Neroter, if buyers email and let me know they've received what I've sent, or leave me feedback, I'll give them some immediately. If they don't, I don't think about it. I was just bored one night and started reading "Feedback Left For Others" and I was really surprised to see how many people don't leave feedback for others compared to what they've received. Not just on my profile, but on others as well. Like gousainc said, it can tell you a lot about a buyer/seller's way of dealing. An interesting thing to check if you have time.

I usually leave feedback as soon as I receive payment & ship. I always inform ythe buyer of date shipped & that I have left +fdbck. I thank them for bidding & hope they will reciprocate. I get about 90% return.

I agree with Sanmar.

I leave feedback as soon as they pay for the item and send email stating it is on the way and that feedback has been left. I thank them for their purchase and request feedback in return when item is received.

I'm still only getting about 80% return but that's ok. I'm too busy listing to worry about it and I sure don't have time to mess around and wait for them to leave fb for me before I reciprocate.

Also, sellers who tell me they will only leave fb after I have left mine get none from me, ever! It's just a policy I have. And, I know 95% of the sellers here on this board have that as a policy so I'm not criticizing I just don't care for it as a buyer or seller.

I also never leave negs. Just file NPB and contribute to getting them NARU and move on.

Feedback is completely optional. If someone doesn't want to leave feedback there is nothing wrong with it.

One of my ebay selling ID's was started at Half.com before they purchased by ebay.

At that time sellers on half could NOT leave feedback for buyers. So my feedback left/received ratio is off for that ID.

Kraft I don't check to see what feedback others have left , I have looked on a few occasions but don't do it much . I try and leave my own feedback based on how the sale went ie: Fast payment, Nice Buyer and communication etc.. Being as I sell items as well as also buy on Ebay I have noticed that only the people that just buy are the ones I have issues w/ leaving me feedback. I like feedback it tells alot about the person you are buying from and selling too.Laurie
