Since Christmas, I have had an abnormal amount of sales to buyers with less than 50 feedbacks. One is already NPB & I have relisted the 2 items which she had won for $155.00. One sold today to another newbie(22). Of 24 auctions sold, only one had more than 100 +fdbcks. Anyone else seeing this?

I just had a newbie NPB. She's been going crazy bidding. What really stinks is that she's gotten another positive fb since I filed. Maybe this one thinks she can just change her mind at will. Her neg is coming and it won't be nice.

Newbies are not the only trouble makers. I have two NBS that had over 100 Fb's. One supposedly had computer problems.

Maybe I've been lucky...I've also had a lot of newbies lately but my experience has been 100% different. All have paid on time and have been absolutely delighted with the eBay experience and have been profuse in their thanks and appreciation. Love 'em!

I have had no problems and have had many eewbies. I was watching the style network the other night and they had a segment on buying antiques and vintage clothes. One of the women shopped on eBay as she stated then went on to tell how to sign up etc. She even showed how to sign up and went through the stages. Remember the older we get the less we buy. It is the new generation stepping in to take our place. Now I feel old.

I'm with blueeyes and Libra here. In my EOA message I say that I see that the newbie is new or rather new to Ebay and offer to help in any way I can to make the experience a good one for both of us, offering to answer any questions they may have. They seem to be grateful. I don't have problems with newbies but some of the others occasionally give me fits--careless about responding to e-mails, etc.

I consider a newbie someone who has been on ebay a few months and/or a feedback rating of around 10 or less. Someone with 50 doesn't signify a newbie, certainly not just under 100.

I tend to do better with the lower feeback people than the ones in the 50 to 100 range. If they are going to screw you, it really doesn't matter how much feedback they have.

I consider a newbie to be a user that has zero feedback. Even so, a lot of these zero feedback rated buyers pay with Paypal and they know most of the ropes of ebay.

I agree with "Ace"...Two of my newbies were 0 feedback...mine was their first eBay transaction. I was delighted that they were so pleased with the whole process...Aside from the extra money we sellers may (on the good weeks) earn, sometimes we forget that eBay can be a whole lot of fun too! I figure that anything I can do to make the eBay experience a pleasant one...especially for the first-timer...benefits all of us.

As far as I am concerned if they don't have at least 50 +fdbcks, they are newbies. I know, we all have our own definitions.

I remember when I was a newbie 6 yrs ago under my buyers name. Before I got Paypal,I distintly remember being nervous sending a check or money order to a stranger with a P.O.Box fearing I would be ripped off and having no way to contact him.Actually I never found it difficult even being a newbie. You bid,you win,you pay-how difficult can this be?? I have ALWAYS left feedback when I got the item, weather the seller left me feedback first or not.I have given only one neg in 6 years-that was 2 years ago.Won
2 dvds for $12.00 on Oct 3-paid with Paypal
on Oct 4.Nov 1 comes around and I email him asking where the dvds were.He asked me to give my name and address and would send them right out.I had to email him an additional 5 times to ask where the dvds were, and he gave me the same response all 5 times, the final response on Dec 18.From Oct 3 to Dec 18-no dvds and I was pissed. So I waited until Christmas morning and I left him this neg

10 weeks no dvds-HOWS THIS FOR A STOCKING STUFFER??
