Who knows what this figure is named? On the back is "1980 MGM Inc Phillipines". Is it worth listing? Thanks...

Figured it out...it helps a LOT when the correct photo link is given. ARGGG

Second try...I THOUGHT I did everything right...

Wonder where the image is? Will try a verbal description...The figure is a skeleton who's wearing a long gray hooded robe. He's about 3 3/4 inches tall. Thanks...

http://www.games-toy.com/toys/star-wars-unleashed-darth-sidious-7-sculpture.php

This has to be the worst case of keyword spamming I've ever seen.

"Imagine the joy that you can bring to your children's lives with a Star Wars Unleashed: Darth Sidious 7 Sculpture. When they see their friends, they'll say with pride, "I have a Star Wars Unleashed: Darth Sidious 7 Sculpture. Don't you wish you had a Star Wars Unleashed: Darth Sidious 7 Sculpture?" A neighborhood craze for Star Wars Unleashed: Darth Sidious 7 Sculpture would ensue, and you could relax knowing you started the Star Wars Unleashed: Darth Sidious 7 Sculpture revolution."

And more and more ad nauseum!!!

And note... Every product on this list has exactly the same text with only the name changed 48 different places. Talk about overuse of templates- YOW!

Thanks, all. This could be the guy although my figure looks a lot more benign than the Darth Sidious on the link. Mine actually looks more like a dead monk...white skull and all. Think I'll go ahead a list him and see what happens. Any ideas as to why my photos aren't showing up? They're on my Vendio Images...I used the old "auctionwatch" (preview.auctionwatch.com)...then tried "preview.vendio.com)...both without success.

Problem solved...I was using "Swars" instead of the correct "Swar"...(without the "s"...Wish all problems were so easily solved. So...now that we have a photo...is the guy Darth Sidious? And, if so, is he worth listing? Thanks again...

Doesn't look like any Star Wars figure I've ever seen. And the date and name do not sound Star Wars related.

Lsat night when I posted the Sideous info, your picture wasn't working.

Now the picture is up... and that ain't him.

I've seen all the movies more times than I'll admit, and I sure don't recognize him. Are you SURE he's from Star Wars?

This is not star wars! This is the bad guy from the "Masters of the universe". His name is "Skeletor"

I don't think this is a starwars figure. It would be stamped differently. I think you need to try a different movie that came out around 1980.

Skeletor was my first thought as well, but if correct, it's an awfully poor model of him.

I think it still may be someone else.

I think I found a good place to start searching. I found MGM's website. You can search their listing of movies for a decade. I started looking in the 1980's but had to wait and wait while it loaded. If you have a faster connection you might want to try searching 1970's - 80's. Here is the link.

BlueEyes - is there a makers mark on it?

Can't be a Star Wars figure--that was released by 20th Century-Fox.

It kinda reminds meof a trilogy of films--can't recall the titles--where a mysterious person in a robe & mask is going about killing people. But I don't think the mask was of a skull...

You are thinking of Scream Bunni but the Ghostface figure was made by McFarlane Toys who are well know for detailing which that has none of. The Ghostface figure has an elongated face and cloth shroud.

It would help to identify the figure if BlueEyes knew who made it.

Blueyes29 does say who made it in her first post.

On the back is "1980 MGM Inc Phillipines".

Trai... Sorry but neither are the maker

"1980 MGM Inc" - Copyright Info
"Phillipines" - Country it was manufactured in.

Companies like MGM do not make figures, they sell the license to other companies (i.e. Hasbro, McFarlane Toys, JusToys, ToyBiz, Galoob, etc.) who manufacture and distribute them. When I ask who the maker is, that is what I am asking about.

I can't see any MGM film from 1979 or 1980 that fills the bill on this.

The 1979 MGM film "Phantasm" does have small cloaked & hooded characters, but their faces are not skulls.

I'd say your figure is probably from some Saturday morning cartoon show. But is definitely not Skeletor or Hordak.

Definately NOT a Star Wars figure. I used to have over 500 different action figures at one time, going as far as to create a movie about them. It doesn't have the characteristics of a Star Wars figure, and the MGM is a dead giveaway that it isn't a Star Wars figure.

Star Wars figures have, "LFL" and the date on them. The LFL stands for "Lucas Films Ltd". I would look for it using MGM since those were the initials on it. You might find it through looking for MGM films.

It's not Star Trek either, as their company is Paramount.

Character from the movie "Clash of the Titans". His name is Charon. Made by Mattel in 1980.

You are good!

What amazes me is that as bad as that movie was, anyone bothered with action figures for it.
