I do all my labels online using the USPS -- but would like to have the features "the shipping cost not showing" and being able to pay insurance.
I notice that Stamps.com lets you print
shipping labels on plain paper(that is what I do now). I do not use a special scale either.Does Encidia work the same way? Also is using either service really worth the expense? I pay nothing other than the postage now but my cost show and I have to deal with the packages that require insurance.Any advice would be appreciated.

I ship lots of PO and would not want to do without Endicia, or similar service.

13 cent delivery confirmation on media mail and first class, plus International Rates and restrictions at the touch of a button.

The Priority Delivery Confirmation is at no additional charge, just like the Online Service.

We have a Zebra Printer, print 4 x 6 labels and it is very handy, much nicer than running paper through a printer.

I am able to look through packages by "Ship-To" name, or search by other criteria.

I can also get delivery information quickly and easily when needed.

The stealth postage feature is very nice to be able to subdue the people who think 25 cents handling is too much, and they want an immediate refund of the extra they paid above shipping charges shown on the mailer.

I highly recommended to anyone who ships a lot of P.O.

deur1, either one of those services is a great convenience and once you try them its hard to going back to 'without them'.
(Not that it cant be done) and you will get alot of 'preference' opinions about both of them.

Is it really worth the expense?

Depends on how much you are selling and how much your time is worth to you standing on line at the PO (for insurance say) vs. not standing on line. You will need to know the weight of your item though.

With Endicia, I am able to put the address in the clipboard, and upon going to Dazzle (Endicia) the address loads.

It then can get verified for accuracy, which alleviates addressing problems, and after choosing the weight and class of service, the label is ready for printing.

Now that is quick.

gousainc-thanks for sharing- what is the cost of the labels ,and Zebra printer?? You see I use my HP Printer and plain copy paper...so that is why I am completely ignorant about this. I have read all the treads on this but I need REAL elementary , basic information. i do not even know what a Zebra printer is . Can you use plain paper on Encindia?

if you click on the link at the bottom of my post and sign up with Endicia, I get a free month!

Superb customer service with them. They will stay on the phone with you as long as you need them to, in order to set up your printer to your satisfaction. I'm blonde and I can do it, and now....I don't care if I just use it to print one first class postage stamp a month, I won't give it up!

(thanks neroter12! wouldn't you know this is the first time in two months I'm over there listing auctions instead of reading the message boards)

Some people ship with Fed-Ex or UPS on a regular basis and get their Zebra labels for free from them.

You can even rent or get a free Zebra Printer from the Fed-Ex or UPS Companies if you have an account, and use their service.

go to ebay to my auctions and "ask seller a question" link and we can email back and forth instead of using up the forum posts.

I'm almost always online. My posting name here is my seller ID on Ebay.

Ralphie wanted me to remind everybody that there are numerous reasons to pick ENDICIA over BRAND-X:

1) It's like a breath of fresh air on a summer's eve!
2) It's two mints one!
3) It soothes irritated tissues!
4) It's squeezable soft!
5) No gritty aftertaste!
6) It's CHOCOLATED for gentle, overnight...

And, by clicking this handy & helpful link, you can help pay for Ralphie's S-CAR-GO-jones!

GG, this is a new scale that is Perfect! I love it. It is actually accurate.

The defective scale you were refering to was the one YOU recommended I buy. The Oscar 100 lb scale sucks big time!

I'm looking at stamps.com and your "free" scale is an extra $6.00 a month compared to what I pay for Endicia.

I'll be glad to let you use my Endicia link to sign up when you get tired of paying almost double the amount every month for Stamps.com.

What on earth are you talking about? Stamps.com is $15.99 a month. I checked Endicia and it was $15.99 a month. Same features as far as I can see but the Stampx.com was giving me free postage and scale.

Did I miss something somewhere?

Question.. can you print stealth on Endicia standard plan?? They make no mention of it. I only see it on the Premium plan.

I love the stamps.com so far. That one click shipment tracking is great.

I pay (now) $9.95 a month AND I have stealth mode, pie charts etc.

I think when I signed up Endicia was $8.95 a month.

this is for the past year, from January 2003 to January 2004.

scanned in route 2?

logged 20?

delivered 83%?

Shouldn't that be 100%? I don't remember any not being delivered.

OK Stamps.com people - show us your charts!
