As a Ebay seller I ship promptly when paid via Paypal. As a buyer I pay via Paypal and expect the item to be shipped in a timely manner and possibly some acknowledgment I paid and that they are sending my item.

My question is this- according to Paypal rules- aren't sellers supposed to send out the item in a certain time frame?

What is that time frame- anyone remember?

get it right,it is the seller who ships, not the buyer.
paypal expects seller to ship promptly after receiving payment, promptly is defined as no later than 7 days after payment is received.
in fact why dont you make your seller life miserable by filing a paypal complaint now and see if your seller can come up with online trackable dc .

what did you buy??
many sellers on ebay rely on dropshippers to ship the goods, such as cameras,pc,tv sets, dvd etc.
if the dropshipper is out of stock or out to lunch, you will have to wait.
last year there was a seller who came to this board to complain, she used a dropshipper on an expensive pc and dropshipper did not ship in 7 days, buyer filed complaint with paypal and the seller of course cannot come up with online trackable dc as she is not the one who does the shipping.
dropshipper shipped in 10 days which was too late ,paypal gave the money back to the buyer and the buyer get to keep the goods.

I bought a skirt I have been trying to find for a long time. not a big ticket item and it said lightly worn- but exactly what I have been looking for
I did a buy it now, paid within a few hours and I hear nothing- absolutley nothing and it has been a couple weeks. I email seller and no response- even sending thru Ebay no response. The shipping was priority mail and the seller had 100% on feedbacks 171 transactions- no warning signs with the feedback she had. Just thought I should have heard something by now.

Sounds like they may have gone on Vacation.
And will take care of it when they return.

But I would not sit back and forget about it.
