I just got boxes full of the American Orchid Society Bulletin--they date back to the 50s & 60s. I have never sold magazines, so I thought I'd ask here to see if someone knows whether it is best to sell them one issue at a time or if selling them in groups by year (the runs are complete) would be better.

Bunnicula: I've sold quite a few old magazines. When I have many of them, I sell them a year at a time. Sometimes you may have 12 for a year, sometimes 4, but it seems to work fine.
Then in the description, if I have the time, I list them by date, volume, and number--and I try to highlight a couple of interesting articles in each. If a celebrity is featured in one, I mention him/her.
Orchids are hot right now in the public consciousness. The Orchid Thief (book and movie) have been around for a while. Good luck!

Thanks, Roadsmith! That was the way I was thinking of going, but wasn't sure. Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce
