<img src=http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/atterol/watch1.jpg>

Bought a pretty little wristwatch (ladies) at a thrift shop. The face has some writing in a foreign language, don't know which language this is and hope someone can help.

It also says 17 Kamhen, guess 17 jewels? It does run well; and the outside band is pretty painted enamel. Any ideas as to the language? Thx

And Ralpie, quit peeing on the visitors!

She thinks U R serious. But I have my doubts. Recent search of GOOGLE for Elbonian returns:

> For example, I was deeply embarrassed by americans constantly asking me
"How
> are you?" and not caring about the answer. Where I come from, we ask "how
> are you?" only if we are really willing to listen to the other person.

This is quite mild in comparison to the Elbonian method of greeting, which
involves whipcream, 1 long stick with a rusty nail, and an angry badger.
Needless to say is results in a slight population reduction, which strangely
enough was not the idea in 939BC when the tradition was invented.
If an Elbonian asks you "How are you" be prepared for a 3 hour
lecture on the finer ways to insert mud in the cracks of their cars.

So, does Elbonia actually exist outside of Dilbert World??

Loretta, do some checking up in the Russian and Hungarian watch categories. But be forewarned, IF it is Russian, the hour hand runs backwards

The word 4anka just means "Banka" or Bank in english. It sounds to be eastern europe i.e. Croata, Slovenia etc.
Just check out that part of the world.

Loritab, I was only guessing about the "blonde" When you try to list an url, make sure there are no spaces between
[*img][/img]. That is usually where I screw up! and leave out the "img src="

Russian watches don't run backwards. But, they do get out of time, they seem to be rushin" forward all the time. (Tongue in cheek)
