I notice that a paypal icon "pp" or "pp" with a "r" registered mark is showing up
when you do a search on ebay. I am signed
up with paypal but neither icon is showing
up, I know the one with "r" is for the buyer
protection plan which I am not part of but
the other "pp" is not showing up either.
Any ideas on why it is not showing up and
how to rectify it?

Do you just mention paypal in your auction description, or have you selected it to appear (logo and all) at the bottom of each listing? I'm pretty sure you have to have PayPal selected in your global preferences when launching each auction for eBay to know that you take it.

You have to take plastic and you have to list checking the accept paypal.
Not only does it look like crap but it's a cheesey, creepy, underhanded, lowlife way to get more chumps to "upgrade." Who could expect less after the mother of all liars was bought out by the biggest gorilla on the block?

The "r" is actually the buyer protection shield. An interesting program that lets pp review the auction and at their own descretion decide whether to refund based on quality issues. If you're lucky enough to have an "upgraded" account you are automatically opted in. You have to call in (and you really should) to opt out.
