Is anyone familiar with Compuserve email program? I had a bidder win an auction, she has a cs.com email address (I THINK that's compuserve)...sent email to her there as it's her registered email address with ebay.
The email bounced back to my email box with an error message which is confusing but says in part" The following address had permanent fatal errors'....but the notice also says, Please direct further questions rgarding this email to your email administrator: signed AOL POSTMASTER! Why is aol involved, are they one in the same now? Who can keep up with all this dot com business anyway.
I then emailed her thru ebay mail system, then pulled her contact info; called her long distance, shes in Indiana, I'm in Florida...no answer & no answer machine....sheesh any ideas would be appreciated

Hi, I have Compuserve as an ISP, I really like it, I believe it became part of AOL around Jan. of 2000. The only reason I have it is Circuit city was having a promotion about 4 years ago on Hewlett Packard computer, printers, monitors etc. at a super price and you had to agree to use Compuserve for 2 years, I never changed once my contract was up. I have had quite a few auctions close today, buy it now or regular end of auction and already have received a few paypals, and questions for seller. I am in Florida. At least once a month when I long onto the net, I get a pop-up from AOL offering me all kinds of deals to switch over,I always ignore them, maybe they are slowly making everything AOL, Who knows they may even offer me a free promotion to make the switch. I do get a Are they still in business? when I give someone my email addy. When I go to CompuServe system info the browser is marked AOL.I am seeing less and less CompuServe email addresses from buyers though.
