Need to find a better outlet for bubble wrap. The last place I tried the wrap was of poor quality--half the bubbles were popped. Any suggestions?

Before you order any try WalMart. A while ago they had bubble wrap rolls for $1.50. The same that sold at Office Max for $9.00. I don't know if they have anymore but I would try them first. I 1. Haven't been to walmart in a long time, hate that crowd. and 2. I bought enough to last a long time.

"Haven't been to walmart in a long time, hate that crowd."

Let me just tell you, my roomie and I used to go to Wal Mart just to watch the crowd. The most absurd bunch I've ever encountered. I have had to run out of Walmart because I was crying from laughing so hard. One time, while walking into Walmart, there was this girl who very much resembled the "bee girl" in the Blind Melon video. She was about 20 feet in front of us walking up to the front of the store, when suddenly, she turned around and started dancing a jig. I laughed so hard for the next 2 hours. To this day, I laugh every time I think about it.

I don't shop at Walmart either, but for an unusual reason. I do not agree with Walmart policy of checking your bags as you leave. I have already purchased my items, they belong to me, and Walmart is infringing on my rights by performing illegal searches.

See, here's the thing about mail ordering some supplies.

Large items that don't weigh much get hit with a UPS surcharge. So the smart thing to do is figure out how much you need for the next couple months and price a local purchase vs. a mail order purchase. The buying price for mail order will be cheaper but the added freight can make a difference.

If you buy enough at one time you might find a local company that can give you a significant price break.

I buy tons of those bubble-out bags. They weigh almost nothing, but I can't get them locally, so they come in huge cartons from PaperMart.

Uline was the place where I bought on line last time and the quality was bad. WalMart price is $3.94 + tax for 30 ft. On average I use 60 ft. per week. I guess I'll have to start charging a handling fee if I can't find it cheaper. Hate to have the starting bid too high. HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!!

You should check out PaperMart, then. They sell 165 foot rolls of 3/8 inch diameter bubble for $16.19 a box. If you buy 5 boxes the price drops to $13.76/box. That drops your cost per square foot to 8.3 cents. I don't know how much shipping is, but that's probably another 1/4 to 1/2 cent per square foot.

PaperMart sells a superior type of bubblewrap that is resistant to leakage.

two options I have used:

Sam's Club 175 feet roll of 3/16" bubble wrap (I think that is the bubble size) is $10 and change a roll.

For website purchases I've had great service and excellent shipped prices from

[url]http://www.bubblefast.com/[url]

300 feet 3/16" bubble wrap delivered tome (your shipping varies depending on your location) $23.00 Nice easy to use website and they take paypal too!

Do you have any idea how much shoplifting costs stores each year? You may be honest - but you can bet not everyone is and some of them are taking stolen merchandise out of the building in the shopping bag. Our SAM'S club recently lost $5,000 is DVDs over one weekend - who the heck do you think is going to ultimately pay for that merchandise? The honest consumer, that is who. Checking your sacred shopping bag is one way of making sure you aren't ultimately paying more than you should.

costco also compares what you bot to the receipt as you leave.
one year in the midwest,an obese lady wearing a black raincoat tried to shoplift a frozen turkey in a supermarket by walking out with the turkey between her legs.
-sig file -------the lobster in the boiling pot of water who tries to prevent the others from climbing out.

I've been to 3 of the Walmart's in my area and none of them check packages when we leave. I had that happen at a K-Mart once, though. I'll never go back to that K-Mart for other reasons, but I have to admit I felt uncomfortable when they were checking.

Why should I give up my rights for Walmart to illegally search me. Sounds like they have a serious security problem, or no security at all. Yes, Walmart may lose out on tons of money each year from shoplifters. Is that my problem? I own a store, and don't require checking bags, either does Target, or Fred Meyer, or Meier and Frank, or Nordstroms. No stores in the mall require you to have your bags searched when you leave. The problem with Walmart is that they are their own worst enemy. I have no intentions of every shopping their again because they infringe on my rights as a law abiding American.

As for KMart... I won't shop their either. Why? I used to work for KMart when I was in high school. When they went filed bankruptcy I purchased stock because I believed they would turn things around. I gave them my money to help their turnaround. What did they do after they emerged from bankruptcy??? They axed all of the common stock, and began selling new shares. Everyone who held common stock in Kmart during their bankruptcy lost all of their investment. Talk about turning on those who helped you reorganize. I hope they die a miserable death.

As for Bubble wrap... I suggest finding a local distributor if you are in a large city. You can buy direct and save a bundle. Look in the yellow pages under packing supplies. Another suggestion for inexpensive boxes is U-Haul!!!
